I live in Toronto even though I'm from France. I like to take pictures, digg stories, and, once in a while publish one. vincentrenais[at]gmail.com to contact me and an RSS feed to follow this blog. Enough of me.

Is Paris in decline?

“Paris, and France, are definitely having an identity crisis,” says Christophe Boicos, a gallery owner and art professor for several American universities. “They have been living off their 19th- and 20th-century heritage for a long time. At the opening of the 21st century, they need to redefine themselves.”

“Who could have believed that one day, only one living French artist would be visible at the MoMA [Museum of Modern Art] in New York _ Jacques Villegle, who is more than 80 years old today? And that only two would be on display in the most important contemporary art institution in London, the Tate Modern?”

“You can’t get a museum curator in France other than a French one. There would be an outcry if there was a foreigner running the Louvre,”

So they did it (again?), our neighbors down south must be laughing at us, they thought AT&T was evil. It could be worst guys, look at us here in Canada, we just got the worst iPhone plan ever! I guess I’ll keep my unlocked iPhone for now…

DON’T give away your email credentials!

As a software developer, you should never ask a user for their email credentials. It’s unethical. It’s irresponsible. It is wrong. If someone is asking you to code this, why? For what purpose?

As a user, you should never provide your email credentials to anyone except your email service. Sites that ask you for this information are to be regarded with extreme suspicion if not outright distrust.
